Part 2- Chp. 1
Reading chapter 1 in part 2 gave me some more insight as to who Winston is and who the brown-haired girl is. Up until Winston received a note from her saying, "I Love You" , I thought the brown-haired girl was evil and was out to catch Winston for Thought Crimes. Now that Winston and this girl are communicating, I think that they are going to be drawn together even more. The girl gave Winston some confusing directions to meet her. I think that the directions go to a place where there are no telescreens and you can say whatever you want. This might even be where the secret BrotherHood may meet and discuss about revolting against the government.

Here goes...hope this works! I think you are showing some evidence that you are getting close to good critical analysis, but you aren't quite there yet. I want to push you to consider the text and orwell's message beyond where you are here. How to do that? Keep asking great questions. Consider possibilities. Too often we go with what we think of first and assume that is good enough. Don't allow yourself to do that. What comes next? What else is there? Where can I go with this? What haven't I thought of yet? While the questions may seem difficult--like I'm asking you to predict the future, I think you can do it! Please ask if you need more guidance, but do try to stay away from too much summary.
